Guideline For Visa Applications To Turkish Embassy In Dhaka , 09.03.2014

Info on How to Obtain a Turkish Visa

 

GENERAL RULES

 

  • BANGLADESHI NATIONALS HOLDING DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL PASSPORTS ARE EXEMPT FROM VISA FOR THEIR TRAVELS TO TURKEY UP TO 90 DAYS.

 

  • ORDINARY PASSPORT HOLDERS ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN VISA TO TRAVEL TO TURKEY. INFORMATION ABOUT THE TYPES OF VISAS AS WELL AS THE APPLICATION PROCESS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

 

  • THOSE PASSPORT HOLDERS WITH A VALID VISA OR RESIDENCE PERMIT FROM A SCHENGEN OR OECD MEMBER STATES CAN OBTAIN THEIR SINGLE ENTRY VISAS AT THE PORT OF ENTRY IN TURKEY FOR 60 US DOLLARS.

 

  • TURKISH EMBASSY STRONGLY ENCOURAGES BANGLADESHI PASSPORT HOLDERS TO OBTAIN THEIR VISAS THROUGH E-VISA (https://www.evisa.gov.tr). ALTERNATIVELY, THEY CAN APPLY PERSONALLY TO THE EMBASSY AT HOUSE-7, ROAD-2, BARIDHARA, DHAKA.

 

  • TURKISH EMBASSY DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONTRACTUAL ARRANGEMENT WITH ANY TOURISM COMPANY/AGENCY FOR THE ISSUANCE OF VISAS. THEREFORE, THE EMBASSY DOES NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE AMOUNT OF VISA FEES PAID AT THE TRAVEL COMPANIES/AGENCIES.

 

  • THE VISAS ARE NORMALLY ISSUED IN 5-7 DAYS. SUBJECT TO THE NATURE OF THE APPLICATION, THIS TIME CAN BE LONGER.

1. General Information about the Turkish Visas
 

There are two types of visas:
A) Entry visa
B) Transit visa
 

A-Entry Visa

I. Single entry visa is valid for 3 months and allows its holder to enter Turkey once and stay up to 30 days.
II. Multiple entry visa is issued in principle for 1 or 2 years. It allows its holder to make multiple entries and stay up to 30 days each time.

B-Transit Visa

Transit visa is valid for up to three months and allows the person to travel to third country transiting the Turkish territory.
Single transit visa allows one entry within three months. Duration of stay is limited to 5 days.
Double transit visa allows two entries within three months. Duration of stay for each entry cannot exceed 5 days.
Required documents:

a) Visa application form (duly filled in and signed by the applicant)

b) The visa of the third country
c) The airline ticket or flight reservation
d) A valid passport (with a six-month validity on the date of the application)
e) One passport size photograph.
f) Additional documents might be requested (Please check the information about tourist visas for the conditions of transit visa)
 

Note: Passengers who will have to wait at the International Airports in Turkey for their next connecting flights are not required to obtain an “Airport Transit Visa (ATV)”. However, should those passengers wish to take a tour at the city or stay over, they have to obtain their transit visas at the Turkish Embassies/Consulates in advance. Please be informed that the Turkish border security officials have the authority to grant or deny entry.
 

Note: All visa applications should be made in person to the Embassy. An interview will be conducted with the applicants by the Visa Officer. No organization other than the Embassy is authorized to consider/process visa applications.

 

2. Business Visa (Documents should be submitted in Turkish or English)

01. Visa application form (duly filled in and signed by the applicant)

02. A valid passport (with a six-month validity on the date of the application)

03. One passport size (recent) photo

04. Marriage certificate (if a married couple is travelling together) (Attested by a Notary Public)

05. National ID card or birth certificate photocopy (ID mandatory)

06. Airline ticket reservation

07. Hotel reservation

08. Up to date bank statement (covers the transactions of the last three months)

09. Bank Solvency

10. Letter of introduction from the company (if the visit will be made on behalf of a company)
11. Letter of invitation from an individual or institution in Turkey (properly signed and directly sent by e-mail or fax to the Embassy)

12. Trade license (Attested by a Notary Public)

13. Income tax return / TIN (Attested by a Notary Public)
14. Membership to any trade body (Attested by a Notary Public)

 

3. Tourist Visa (All Documents Should Be In English)

 

01. Visa application form (duly filled in and signed by the applicant)

02. A valid passport (with a six-month validity on the date of the application)

03. One passport size (recent) photo

04. Marriage certificate (if a married couple is travelling together) (Attested by a Notary Public)

05. National ID card or birth certificate photocopy (ID mandatory)

06. Airline ticket reservation

07. Hotel reservation

08. Up to date bank statement (covers the transactions of the last three months)

09. Bank Solvency

 

Submission of the following documents could help support the application:

 

10. Letter of introduction from the company/employer of the applicant

11. Trade license (Attested by a Notary Public)

12. Income tax return / TIN (Attested by a Notary Public)

13. Membership to any trade body (Attested by a Notary Public)

 

4. Education Visa

 

Foreigners may apply for an education visa only after they have enrolled in a university, school or language course in Turkey. Education visas are generally valid for one year for single entry. Documents required for the applicants of education visas are:

 

01. Visa application form (duly filled in and signed by the applicant)

02. A valid passport (with a six-month validity on the date of the application)

03. One passport size (recent) photo

04. An official acceptance letter from a university in Turkey (also directly send to the Embassy)

05. Photocopy of the Diploma (Attested by the Education Ministry and Foreign Ministry)

06. Results of the university exam for foreigners held by Higher Education Board of the Republic of Turkey (if taken)

07. Medical certificate (including HIV/AID’s test)

 

Documents required for the applicants of education visas for a language course (as a pre-condition, the language course should be certified by the Ministry of Education):

 

01. Visa application form (duly filled in and signed by the applicant)

02. A valid passport (with a six-month validity on the date of the application)

03. One passport size (recent) photo

04. The registration document to the language course

05. Photocopy of the Diploma (Attested by the Education Ministry and Foreign Ministry)

06. The bank receipt of the payment for the language course

07. Up to date bank statement of the applicant’s parents (covers the transactions of last one year) and their notarized financial guarantee letter

 

Education visa holders must apply to the Aliens Branch of Local Police Department (Emniyet Mudurluğu Yabancılar Şubesi) within 30 days upon their arrival to obtain a residence permit. Once a residence permit is obtained, it enables the bearer to travel to Turkey multiple times through its validity. No further visa for entry into Turkey is required.

5. Visa Hours

 

Visa applications are accepted between 09:00-11:00 hours on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
 

The Embassy is closed on Friday and Saturday.

  2. Multiple entry visa(Business only)                            15.118,00 BDT
  3. Single transit visa (Tourist, Business, Education)     4.514,00 BDT
